Description: Responders are subjected to frequent and repeated exposure to events that could profoundly impact their mental wellness. Join Chris as he shares the sobering findings of his research on Minnesota emergency responders. Information includes rates of suicidal thoughts, attempts, and deaths.

Objectives:

  • Discuss the nature of suicidality among Minnesota’s emergency responders.
  • Recognize the risk factors for psychological trauma and suicide in the responder population.
  • Access resources to assist yourself or a coworker in need.
