A Tale of Two Women
January 25, 2019
2:45 PM - 4:00 PM
French River Room
Description: This unique presentation will focus on two separate and distinct case reviews of illness and injury that occurred on separate continents. We’ll review the pathophysiological insults that happened as a result of the injuries, the prehospital care that was provided or not, and the story each patient had; one that turned out to be something unsuspected. These two remarkable women are as different as you and me, yet there is an amazing common thread between them and it’s not just their head injuries…
Objectives:
- Attendees will be able to list important factors in obtaining complete history and physical exam on each and every patient.
- Attendees will compare and contrast how they provide patient assessments prior to class and what they will do after this class.
- Attendees will be able to identify the important elements of accurate reporting of clinical findings and gain a greater understanding why these are critical.
