Pathophysiology and Clinical Medicine

Pathophysiology and Clinical Medicine

January 24, 2019
8:00 AM  -  5:00 PM
St. Louis River Room

Description: The best EMS clinicians don’t just know what to do, but rather, they know why to do it.  A solid clinical foundation begins with an in depth understanding of the underlying pathophysiology.  Come to RockStar U and let our Masters show you the ways of the “Force”, the life force that is.  Come and split your time between lectures and hands on time.  Pig pluck dissections with pathophysiology and anatomy discussion will help to tie the lectures together with clinical application.

Objectives:

  • The student will be able to identify mechanisms at play in the pathophysiology of common illnesses.
  • The student will identify best practices in clinical medicine.
  • The student will list the major points of cardiac and pulmonary anatomy.
  • The student will be able to correlate pathophysiology to the shock response.
