Spirituality at 60MPH

January 26, 2019
10:30 AM  -  11:45 AM
Gooseberry Falls Room

Description: Does your patient really need another dose of epinephrine or would the clergy from their local house of worship serve them better?  You KNOW the answer to that question-right?!?  This presentation is all about the human spirit and the light inside each of us that makes us get up and answer the call to duty at 0300.  It also has something to do with the many intangibles we experience as care providers and the connection we make with our patients.  Could it be that some folks love EMS, but the real question is: can EMS love you back? Join Gary on the road less traveled and be prepared to be refreshed and enlightened!

Objectives:

  • Upon completion of this program the attendee will have a greater insight into their Spirit-of-EMS.
  • Upon completion of this program attendee will gain insight into some patient’s spiritual needs and how they might be better able to meet those needs.
  • Attendee will gain insight into what it means to be a patient and rely on others for their care and the sacred trust patients place in our hands.
  • There is no guarantee that this program will eliminate any “holier-than-thou” attitudes, but it may help ground a few stray “High Fliers.”
